TESTIMONIALS

Before joining University of Kent Polo club I had never even sat on a horse let alone ride one. Within a few lessons I was able to control a horse and even canter whilst hitting a ball!
6 or so months later I was competing in the university national tournaments against other teams of similar if not better abilities.
The following year my team and I made it to 2 out 3 national tournament finals. Playing in what was effectively a category above our abilities
My time with The University of Kent Polo Club has been a major highlight of my university experience, allowing me to proudly compete on behalf of my university in a sport that has an inclusive and very friendly environment despite what assumptions you may have about Polo.

Before joining Kent Polo I had ridden from a young age, having been crazy about horses for as long as I could remember. Coming from a completely non horsey background it wasn't something to come naturally however my family appreciated my enthusiasm and I started riding. University was my first time at trying polo and even though it still involved horses, it was a completely different sport, being a completely new way of riding and you still needed to start with the basics. The society is full of friendly, like minded people and we all get on really well. Polo has been a really significant part of my university experience and I am so glad I signed up at freshers.

Having previously competed for my school in polo it was great to be able to join Kent Polo society and be able to continue the sport at Univeristy. The society was full of friendly, like minded people who all shared the interest. Summer SUPA was the best event to compete in, it was a weekend of partying, polo, camping out and meeting people from different universities. The club has really made my university experience!
